Non-combustible recycled-glass acoustic panel for indoor and outdoor use.
Quietstone is a rigid acoustic absorber made from recycled glass (94% recycled glass, per Artnovion). Panels are 600 x 1200 x 25 mm, can be cut on site, and are fixed mechanically or with adhesive. Artnovion classifies it as non-combustible and weather resistant, so it suits places where fabric or PET panels are not appropriate: pools and spas, sports halls, plant rooms, industrial noise control, sanitary areas and outdoor or semi-outdoor spaces.
Acoustic performance (Artnovion published data): absorption range 250 Hz to 5000 Hz, Acoustic Class A, αw = 0.90. The chart shows three mounting conditions – on surface, with a 50 mm air gap, and over a 30 mm PET layer – and the mounting makes a real difference below about 500 Hz. Like any 25 mm porous absorber, it is not a low-frequency treatment on its own.
